This couple had, I think, forgotten where they were: Right in front of the digital departure board on a packed Platform 4 with more people behind them than in front
I checked the time of my train and settled into a five minute wait. This wait at Gatwick is often amusing as the great travelling public are a breed on their own. Bags, cases, bunches of flowers, bikes – some packed in boxes, some under arms, nearly forgot … cups of near boiling coffee and pasties.
Manners seem to be put aside as the fear of having to wait for the next train disappears in proportion as to whether it is raining, windy or raining and windy.
I noticed this couple engaged in mutual admiration of each other’s backsides and chuckled. It had to be done! Taking the photograph that is: I had photographically missed the highlights but that’s life.
