On a train journey from Croydon I was joined by a bored passenger.
I was comfortable, and as usual just looking around at life and musing, when someone else started to do the same.
He sat up, turned on the spot, licked his lips and started to take notice of me looking at him.
Not phased, I just looked back. Neither of us was worried so we just carried on looking. He shifted forward and slumped his head between the gap between the chairs and said ‘wat yer upta mate? So I replied ‘woof … woof and woof over there’. He was okay with that and was happy.
I wish I had more journeys like that.
