In an unsuspecting place in the garden a stone was turned as a matter of course and beneath was the scurried world of ants and eggs
I was summoned to look. By the time I got there, say 45 seconds, their life of foraging and eating turned into salvaging the nest.
We watched and noted how single ants were picking up eggs and moving them to safety – impressive.
