At Christmas 2019 I was taken back to my childhood by watching a remake of Worzel Gummidge. Jon Pertwee and Una Stubbs, in the original, enthralled me with their language and antics
Today I walked through the local common and first noticed the two very small shacks against an overgrown roadside hedge. As I walked closer Worzel Gummidge came into my mind and happy thoughts of my childhood.
I walked closer and the hedge on my right side lowered and an abandoned bath came into view. Out of place but congruous with the two small shacks and coupled with my previous thoughts I could see Worzel having a bath and a good splash around with antics of Aunt Sally playing a separate part to entertain.
By the way the modern updated version also captured my interest as it was calming as it was relaxed and had a charming storyline.
