For 30 years or so this tree grew and grew, and to honest I did not take much notice
We sit at the bottom of our garden during the summer, and suffer from being in the shade during the afternoon and being chilly quite early in the evening. Not ideal!
The tree has also reduced the warmth of the sun during the day and evening: and its opposite provided shade when the sun is at its hottest. On balance we prefer the warmth so go it must.
We have left the trunk this high and cut two slots into the sides to allow a rope to be tied around it for enjoyment.
