Slowly – but surely

These little creatures amaze me. While being very slow moving, vulnerable and unable to evade prey by running: They can only retreat inside their shell until overturned

This little beastie had made a decision many hours previous to climb along branches to find what it wanted and I assume munching on the way. But I am not sure whether he considered his long term plan for retreat.

Time did not allow me to follow his/her progress elsewhere; was he/she someone else’s meal?
